Soccer Recap: University Prep Victorious

University Prep won the last time they faced West Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The University Prep Panthers won by a goal and slipped past the West Valley Eagles 2-1. Even though the Panthers got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Kiera Sheffield was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Lea Huang and Kenna Wood scored both of University Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

University Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for West Valley, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season.

University Prep will take on Anderson at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Valley, they will challenge Yreka at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
