Medina High School signal caller upped his total with 364 yards in a 48-7 win last Friday.

Danny Stoddard of Medina (Ohio) is the high school football's national leader when it comes to passing yardage. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior has thrown for 2,356 yards during a 5-1 start for the Battling Bees.

Stoddard, who has already thrown 27 touchdowns against just five interceptions, raised the bar rather high for 2022 when he completed 39 of 52 passes for 621 yards and six touchdowns in a 43-42 loss to Avon Aug. 26.

For the year, Stoddard has gone over 300 yards five times. He is averaging 392.7 yards per game while completing 161 of 239 (67 percent) attempts.

Sitting about 200 yards behind Stoddard is Wasatch (Heber City, Utah) sophomore Mack Kelson, who has thrown for 2,133 yards and 16 scores. Kelson threw for a season-high 415 yards and three touchdowns in a 51-33 loss to Mountain Ridge in August. Kelson has been hot as of late, throwing for 300 or more yards in his last three outings.

Clifton Cooper of Ponder (Texas) sits third with 2,090 passing yards and 25 touchdowns. The 6-0 senior has thrown for 470 yards or more in four contests for the 3-2 Lions. Cooper burned Godley for a season-high 584 yards and six touchdowns two weeks ago.
