Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Takes a Loss

Victory Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 39-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forest Lake Christian Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-30 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Victory Christian lost, don't look at Jaclyn Bacchi. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points.

Forest Lake Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Harrington, who dropped a triple-double with 12 points, 18 boards, and 11 blocks. Harrington is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last 17 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Bell, who put up 19 points along with five boards and three blocks.

Victory Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Forest Lake Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Victory Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-32 defeat against Pine Hills Adventist on the 3rd. As for Forest Lake Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-22 win against Encina on the 4th.
