Softball Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss

Ridgeland suffered their closest loss since August 8, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights by a score of 6-4.

Alaina Shaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. JaMiah Lewis also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Ridgeland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Coming up, Ridgeland will challenge Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will square off against Winder-Barrow at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
