The Renaissance Academy Knights will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Sacred Heart Academy Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Renaissance Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Sacred Heart Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, everything went Renaissance Academy's way against The Christian Academy as Renaissance Academy made off with a 50-26 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

Renaissance Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brilan Biesecker, who posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. With that strong performance, Biesecker is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Kasira Barber, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Renaissance Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Academy entered their contest against Villa Maria Academy on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Sacred Heart Academy took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Villa Maria Academy.

Renaissance Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
