Baseball Game Preview: Fellowship Christian Paladins vs. Galloway Scots

Fellowship Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Galloway since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Paladins will venture away from home to face off against the Scots at 3:30 p.m. The last three games Fellowship Christian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Fellowship Christian fell victim to Landmark Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Paladins have suffered since March 6th.

Fellowship Christian got a good showing from Jack Dart, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dart has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Fellowship Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Brannon, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Galloway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to Wesleyan. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Galloway's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fellowship Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

Galloway's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Fellowship Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Galloway, though, as they've been averaging only 2.1 strikeouts. Will Fellowship Christian keep running through batters, or will the Scots buck the trend?

Fellowship Christian took their win against Galloway in their previous matchup back in March of 2017 by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Paladins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
