Baseball Recap: Gorham Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Gorham had won three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 6-6 to make it four. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Woodsville Engineers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 back in April.

As for Woodsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. Engineers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Gorham since Wednesday.

For Woodsville's part, Dylan Marshall put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Marshall was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

In other batting news, Colby Rowe made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Justin Hutchins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Coming up, Gorham will take on Profile at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodsville, they will square off against Colebrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
