Soccer Game Preview: Lindhurst vs. Rio Vista

The Lindhurst Blazers will take on the Rio Vista Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lindhurst has ten straight wins, Rio Vista has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Last Thursday, Lindhurst made easy work of San Juan and carried off an 8-1 victory. The Blazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Rio Vista came up short against Mesa Verde on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Lindhurst's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those seven games. As for Rio Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Lindhurst took their victory against Rio Vista in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lindhurst since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
