Recap: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Terra Nova Tigers
The Jefferson Grizzlies were the 45-33 winner over the Terra Nova Tigers when they last played one another on January 9th, but their luck changed this time around. Jefferson lost to Terra Nova on the road by a decisive 46-32 margin on Friday. Jefferson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jefferson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Wang, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Wang has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerzey Gallegos, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Jefferson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Terra Nova, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Jefferson will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sequoia at 6:00 p.m. As for Terra Nova, they will head out on the road to square off against Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Capuchino is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
