Baseball Recap: John Milledge Academy Trojans vs. Baldwin Braves
John Milledge Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Baldwin Braves as the John Milledge Academy Trojans made off with an 11-4 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2017.

Remington Weaver made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bradyn Harrisson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Harrisson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Will Adams, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
John Milledge Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baldwin only posted an OBP of .333.
John Milledge Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Baldwin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Looking ahead, John Milledge Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Strong Rock Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baldwin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harlem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlem will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Baldwin surely won't give up without a fight.
