Baseball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

Jackson lost to Pinckney back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings came up short against the Pirates, falling 15-5.

Eric Lopez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Jackson: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-23 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi McClain, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Jackson's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-25. As for Pinckney, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season.

While Jackson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
