Fallbrook piles up the points against Mt. Carmel

Recap: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Mt. Carmel Sundevils

The Fallbrook Warriors can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They breezed by Mt. Carmel at home to the tune of 71-34. Winning may never get old, but Fallbrook sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Fallbrook was led to victory by Claire Nordeen and Grace Nordeen. Nordeen dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Nordeen dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. Nordeen is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Janice Garcia, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.

Mt. Carmel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiyanna Ellis, who scored five points along with nine rebounds. Kaelyn Nason was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.

Fallbrook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-19.

Fallbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Escondido at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fallbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Escondido likes a good challenge. As for Mt. Carmel, they will head out on the road to challenge Valley Center at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Valley Center is ranked 879th, while Mt. Carmel is ranked 865th).
