Baseball Recap: Berrien Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Berrien ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hawkinsville Red Devils, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since February 12th.

The team relied heavily on Bryce Crews, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Borders, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

The win snapped Berrien's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-19 record. As for Hawkinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Berrien has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Bacon County on the 18th. Hawkinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
