Softball Recap: Northwest Whitfield Comes Up Short

Northwest Whitfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Taylor County Vikings.

Northwest Whitfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Taylor County, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Northwest Whitfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-7 victory against North Murray on the 13th. As for Taylor County, they will be playing at home against Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
