Football Game Preview: Phillips Academy Big Blue vs. Suffield Academy Tigers

Phillips Academy is 2-7 against Suffield Academy since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Big Blue will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. Phillips Academy will be strutting in after a win while Suffield Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Phillips Academy and Kent School, and Phillips Academy kept the tradition alive. The Big Blue put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 29-6 victory on Saturday. The Big Blue's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 49 points the game before, Suffield Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 41-9 loss at the hands of Taft School.

Suffield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Phillips Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Phillips Academy took a serious blow against Suffield Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 41-6. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Big Blue were down 28-0.
