Soccer Game Preview: James Lick vs. San Jose

The James Lick Comets will face off against the San Jose Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

James Lick is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Overfelt on Friday. The Comets fell just short of the Royals by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for San Jose after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Gunderson by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to San Jose's undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Lucero Menera, who's now up to two this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, San Jose fell to 2-1. As for James Lick, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

James Lick beat San Jose by a goal in their previous matchup back in January, winning 1-0. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
