Softball Recap: Heritage's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Heritage's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Northwest Whitfield Bruins get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Bailee Hollis's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

On the hitting side, Landry White was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August. Ema Tanner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive contests.

With the win, Heritage broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-7. As for Northwest Whitfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Heritage will have a chance to go back-to-back against Northwest Whitfield: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
