Softball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Falls Short of Wheeler County in the Playoffs

Lake Oconee Academy and Wheeler County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lake Oconee Academy had to settle for second. They lost 9-1 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on Monday.

Lake Oconee Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Kelley, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Lake Oconee Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for Wheeler County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-8.

As of now, neither Lake Oconee Academy nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
