Football Recap: Cobre Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cobre had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-2 to make it six. They were dealt a 48-16 loss at the hands of the Anthony Wildcats. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

As for Anthony, the win got them back to even at 1-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given their disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1174th in Texas, while Cobre is ranked 69th in New Mexico).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anthony to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alfonso Cisneros, who rushed for 131 yards on only ten carries. Anthony Sanchez was in the mix as well, providing the Wildcats with two scores.

Cobre didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Silver on the 12th. As for Anthony, they have also already played their next match, a 20-6 loss against Cathedral on the 12th.
