Clawson dropped down to 16-8-1 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Royal Oak Ravens by a score of 9-7. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-1 defeat back in March.

Clawson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliott Groves, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

As for Royal Oak, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-25-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

On Royal Oak's side, Cameron Friedrich made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, Friedrich posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Clawson will challenge Algonac at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Royal Oak has already played their next contest (against Pioneer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
