Baseball Recap: Jonesboro Comes Up Short

Jonesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Central Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-2 defeat last Tuesday.

Jonesboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isiah Osby III, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Central, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will head out to take on Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jonesboro is facing Griffin at the right time seeing as Griffin is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Central, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Central Lions duke it out with Harris County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harris County will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Central surely won't give up without a fight.
