LaVille won the last time they faced Tippecanoe Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Lancers came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 15-11. That's two games straight that the Lancers have won by exactly four runs.

Lucas Underwood made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Underwood was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 12 contests.

In other batting news, LaVille got a massive performance out of Andre Gonzales, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brayden Schwitz, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for LaVille and bumps their season record up to 7-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coming up, LaVille will challenge Triton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Fairfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
