Football Game Preview: Frederick Cadets vs. Oakdale + How To Watch

The Frederick Cadets are taking a road trip to square off against Oakdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Frederick came up short against Urbana and fell 44-33. While the Cadets had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Hawks 20-7.

Despite their defeat, Frederick saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Paul Huff, who picked up 129 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 39 yards and one TD, was perhaps the best of all. Another passer making a difference was Miles Robinson, who threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Oakdale blew past Walkersville, posting a 46-13 victory. Oakdale hasn't had any issues with Walkersville recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Oakdale's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Frederick, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Frederick and Oakdale were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but Frederick suffered an agonizing 41-40 loss. Can the Cadets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
