Soccer Recap: Echols County Victorious

While Echols County's victory against Worth County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Rams on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 back in February.

Echols County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five matchups. As for Worth County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Echols County will square off against Valdosta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Worth County, they will take on Lanier County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Worth County will be up against Lanier County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.38 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
