Basketball Game Preview: Northern Potter Panthers vs. Otto-Eldred Terrors

Northern Potter hasn't had much luck against Otto-Eldred recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Northern Potter Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Otto-Eldred Terrors at 7:00 p.m. Northern Potter will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Northern Potter faced off against Galeton last Monday. Everything went Northern Potter's way against Galeton as Northern Potter made off with a 47-24 victory. The Panthers pushed the score to 39-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred lost to Coudersport on the road by a 46-27 margin on Friday.

Northern Potter will need to focus on slowing down Carrie Drummond, one of several Otto-Eldred players who made an impact when they last played. She went 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points. Drummond is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 44% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jahden Smith, who posted four points and five boards.

Otto-Eldred's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Northern Potter, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Northern Potter came up short against Otto-Eldred in their previous meeting back in January, falling 40-27. Can Northern Potter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
