Volleyball Recap: Kenston Forest Kavaliers vs. Isle of Wight Academy Chargers
Kenston Forest had taken Isle of Wight Academy down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Kavaliers fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 3-2. The Kavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
Kenston Forest took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-17, 19-25, 16-25, 25-19, 15-6.
Isle of Wight Academy found their leader in sophomore Camryn Williams, who had 20 digs. Williams is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Kenston Forest's loss dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for Isle of Wight Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Coming up, Kenston Forest will head out on the road to challenge Amelia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Kavaliers are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Isle of Wight Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
