Softball Recap: Durant Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Durant's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks by a score of 9-4. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 victory the Golden Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

Durant is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Mid-Prairie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Durant has already played their next contest (against Muscatine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mid-Prairie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-0 loss against Grinnell on the 24th.
