Recap: Cicero Prep Academy Centurions vs. North Valley Christian Academy Lions
The Cicero Prep Academy Centurions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Valley Christian Academy, falling 47-13. Cicero Prep Academy lost against North Valley Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-28 score last time.
Despite the loss, Cicero Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Alyse Nap, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Even though they lost, Cicero Prep Academy were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Triniti Terracciano had a dynamite game for North Valley Christian Academy, scoring 24 points along with seven steals and five assists. Chardonnay Pryce was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Cicero Prep Academy bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for North Valley Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Cicero Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Superior at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Superior focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Thursday. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will face off against Tonopah Valley at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
