Soccer Game Preview: Palma vs. Gonzales

Palma is 0-3 against Gonzales since January of 2025 but things could change on Thursday. The Chieftains will look to defend their home pitch against the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Palma managed to slip by St. Francis the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chieftains lost 3-0 to the Sharks on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Gonzales came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bruins a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that Gonzales have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Janelle Garcia, who's now up to six this season.

The victory got Gonzales back to even at 6-6. As for Palma, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
