Gregori had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 41-point drubbing they dealt Modesto on Friday. The Gregori Jaguars blew past the Modesto Panthers 61-20. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Gregori found their leader in freshman Gia Brown, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in steals. Mia Martinez-Mendiata also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Gregori smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

Gregori pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.8 points over those games. As for Modesto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Gregori didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-37 victory against Enochs on the 11th. As for Modesto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-34 loss against Downey on the 11th.
