Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Hills Rattlers vs. Hilltop Lancers

The Canyon Hills Rattlers will challenge the Hilltop Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilltop took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Canyon Hills, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Canyon Hills strolled past Mission Bay with points to spare, taking the game 42-24. The Rattlers pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buccaneers cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Hilltop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chula Vista.

Canyon Hills is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Hilltop, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Canyon Hills took a serious blow against Hilltop when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 58-15. Can Canyon Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
