Softball Preview: West Forsyth Wolverines vs. North Forsyth Raiders
After both having extra time off, the West Forsyth Wolverines and the North Forsyth Raiders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North Forsyth will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: West Forsyth extended their winning streak to five last Wednesday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over North Atlanta.
Elizabeth Bare spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chloe Hamlin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tenley Lynch, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, North Forsyth made easy work of Forsyth Central last Thursday and carried off a 14-1 win.
West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for North Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
West Forsyth took their victory against North Forsyth when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
