Manhattan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Derby Panthers 38-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Kha'Mario Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 124 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.

Davis was just one part of a punishing run game: Manhattan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Manhattan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.1 points on average over those games. As for Derby, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Manhattan will challenge Olathe Northwest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Ravens have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. Derby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
