Wyatt Sharp posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out five batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
