Recap: Orange Cove Titans vs. Coalinga Horned Toads
The Orange Cove Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Coalinga 59-13. Orange Cove lost against Coalinga in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 74-38 score last time.
Coalinga was led to victory by Jaelyn Bourdeau and Addie Love. Bourdeau scored 14 points, while Love scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The match was Bourdeau's third in a row with at least ten points. Jozlynn Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 4 steals.
Orange Cove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Coalinga, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange Cove will face off against Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Exeter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday. Coalinga won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenfield at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Greenfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
