Basketball Game Preview: Round Valley Mustangs vs. Potter Valley Bearcats

Round Valley and Potter Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Round Valley Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Potter Valley Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Round Valley is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Point Arena just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Pirates 47-41.

Meanwhile, Potter Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Tomales, falling 41-21.

Potter Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Round Valley, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for Round Valley against Potter Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-12 win. Will Round Valley repeat their success, or does Potter Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
