Baseball Recap: Meadowcreek Takes a Loss

Meadowcreek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Monday.

Meadowcreek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Piner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Eduardo Alaniz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meadowcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for North Gwinnett, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Meadowcreek is set to challenge their familiar foe Duluth at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Gwinnett will face off against rival Parkview at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (North Gwinnett 3.6, Parkview 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
