Football Recap: Tomball Memorial Drops Season-High Score on Klein Cain + How To Watch

Tomball Memorial scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 70-62 to the Klein Cain Hurricanes. The Wildcats lost against the Hurricanes in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-14 score last time.

Defeat or not, Tomball Memorial got some senior leadership from Jaxon Robertson and Adrian Hattenberger. Robertson rushed for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, while Hattenberger rushed for 189 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Those 142 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Robertson. Gavin Westerberg was another key player, picking up 254 receiving yards.

Jah'Rin Louis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 450 yards and six scores while picking up 11.8 yards per carry for Klein Cain. With that strong performance, Louis is now averaging an impressive 143.6 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Johnson, who threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Tomball Memorial and nudges their season record down to 2-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-0 Magnolia (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70% over those games). As for Klein Cain, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
