Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Merritt Island + How To Watch

Merritt Island had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cocoa Beach Minutemen. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Minutemen, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Merritt Island was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-8.

Amber Ives was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight aces and three digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high.

Ives wasn't the only good server: Merritt Island was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Merritt Island's record now sits at 10-2. As for Cocoa Beach, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Merritt Island will face off against Boone at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cocoa Beach, they will take on Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
