West Delaware waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Grinnell Tigers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2024.

West Delaware's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Grinnell, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-4 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat West Delaware by a score of 8-3 later that day.
