Soccer Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairfield Trojans. Washington were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fairfield apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Fairfield, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fairfield will take on rival Burlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
