Baseball Recap: Royalton Comes Up Short

Royalton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to the Pillager Huskies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Royalton got a good showing from Trace Ratke, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those zero earned runs gave Ratke a new career-low.

At the plate, Royalton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Albright, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Albright's first of the season.

Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Pillager, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

As of now, neither Royalton nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
