High school softball: Abilene Christian signee Taylor Haywood tops national wins leaderboard with 27

Hyde Park senior has won 90 percent of her decisions with a 1.07 ERA.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Taylor Haywood of Hyde Park (Austin, Texas) is high school softball's national leader in wins.

Haywood has a 27-3 record with 255 strikeouts in 137 innings pitched. Since March 15, the senior Abilene Christian signee has won 15 straight games. She has aided her cause by hitting nine home runs and compiling a .561 batting average.

Juniors Allyson Supan of Central (Phenix City, Ala.) and Addison Martindale of Krum (Texas) are tied for second nationally with 26 victories.

Supan has a 2.43 ERA and 124 strikeouts. Across 40 appearances, she has just one loss. Also stellar at the plate, Supan is batting .456 with 11 home runs. She has hit 23 home runs since reaching varsity as a freshman in 2021-22.



Martindale has a 0.56 ERA with a 26-2 record. The Texan has fanned 291 hitters in just 125 frames. Also a stellar hitter, Martindale is batting .427 with 34 RBI for the Bobcats.
