Basketball Recap: Neighborhood Academy Comes Up Short

Neighborhood Academy lost against Trinity Christian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Neighborhood Academy were dealt a 45-8 loss at the hands of the Trinity Christian Falcons. The match marked Neighborhood Academy's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Star Carter and Aamira Abdul-Waalee certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Carter posted four points and six boards, while Abdul-Waalee put up two points.

Neighborhood Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Neighborhood Academy will face off against Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-32 win against Propel Braddock Hills on the 13th.
