Softball Recap: Lamar County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lamar County extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 3-0. Everything went their way against the Marion County Eagles as they made off with a 10-4 win. Fans of the Trojans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marion County fell to 4-1. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

For Marion County's part, Taner Tyler made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double was Tyler's first of the season.

Coming up, Lamar County will head out to take on Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marion County, they will be playing at home against Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
