Soccer Recap: Berkeley Plays to a Tie

While Berkeley's fans didn't get a definitive result on Friday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. They and the Castro Valley Trojans finished up their game with a 2-2 draw.

Allegra Hong and Evita Escamilla Geisler scored both of Berkeley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

With that draw, Berkeley's record moves to 3-6-4. Meanwhile, Castro Valley's record is now 2-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Berkeley challenge the Alameda at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Castro Valley, they will take on Encinal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Castro Valley is facing Encinal at the right time seeing as Encinal is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
