The Jacobs Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Saint Viator Lions at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacobs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Jacobs didn't have quite enough to beat Cary-Grove and fell 10-8. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.

Andrew Deegan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Meanwhile, Saint Viator came up short against Joliet Catholic on Saturday and fell 8-5. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Saint Viator's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10-1. As for Jacobs, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.

Jacobs got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 against Saint Viator by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
