Baseball Game Preview: Crivitz Wolverines vs. Kewaunee Storm

Crivitz is on a 13-game streak of home wins, while Kewaunee is on an eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolverines will host the Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While Crivitz's victory against Coleman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines had just enough and edged out the Cougars 2-1 on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, Kewaunee hadn't done well against Coleman recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Storm came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 7-5.

Brett Paulsen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Paulsen was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Waylon Delain, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Dane Harrell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Kewaunee's win bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Crivitz, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.
