Baseball Game Preview: White County Warriors vs. Johnson Knights

For the second straight game, White County will face off against Johnson. The Warriors will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Knights at 5:55 p.m.

White County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Johnson get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

Josh Adams tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Carter Nguyen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Cooper Garrett was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

White County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for White County and bumps their season record up to 13-15. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Johnson, they are on a 25-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-27.
