Preview: Ramona Rams vs. Eastside Lions
The Ramona Rams will square off against the Eastside Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Ramona sitting on 11 straight wins and Eastside on 15.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ramona had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over the Eagles.
Ramona found their leader in underclassman Olivia Molina, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Molina has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena Berber, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Eastside gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 73-23 victory over Packinghouse Christian Academy. Eastside's victory was all the more impressive since Packinghouse Christian Academy was averaging only 23.5 points allowed on the season.
Ramona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Eastside, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.
